Later, when I read The Scroll Opened by the Lamb, a book of Almighty God’s word, I saw that the word of Almighty God opened up a lot of mysteries, such as the three stages of work carried out by God to save mankind, the work of His judgment in the last days, the beauty of His kingdom, etc., which gave me a deeper understanding of God’s work. My parched spirit felt quenched, and the more I read this book the more I loved it. I had used to get up at 5:30 AM, but since I got a copy of The Scroll Opened by the Lamb, I started getting up at 4:30 to read the word of Almighty God, and I would ponder over Almighty God’s words, which made my heart feel so satisfied.

Two days later two sisters from The Church of Almighty God came to our store in the evening, and as soon as they saw our mom they got very excited and came up and hugged her. It was as if they were close relatives meeting again after being apart from each other for many years. They were both concerned with and respectful toward one another. I felt stunned seeing this, but I couldn’t help but be moved by this touching scene, and tears started falling down my face uncontrollably. Why was this? How could people who we had never met before seem just the same as warm-hearted family members coming together?     Ou Yang was a cashier at a hamburger restaurant. On a Sunday morning, the restaurant was crowded with people and the business was especially good.     When getting my doctorate in 2003, I alone went overseas, and was engaged in scientific research as a visiting scholar for a university. Afterward, I accepted the Lord Jesus in local Chinese church. I was immersed in the love of the Lord, like a kid who had wandered for years finally returned to his mother’s embrace. From then on, I hungrily read the Bible and evangelical materials, watched evangelical movies, listened to sorts of recordings of preaching, and actively participated in all kinds of church activities, such as attending the meetings, Bible study groups, and prayer meetings, handing out evangelical leaflets, and so on. I eagerly sent my wife the news that I had faith in the Lord, believing that she would be happy as we finally share the same belief. Those years, she had always preached the gospel of the Lord to me, while I had never taken it seriously, so we often ended up parting on bad terms. As expected, she was extremely pleased after knowing my faith in the Lord, and said she wanted to see me as soon as possible and listen to my testimonies.
